What’s fresh for summer?
Summer’s sultry heat requires bold moves in color and shape—perfect
for a season on the water. Do something different with exaggerated
graphics, bright hues and extreme silhouettes. For prints, look
for enlarged logos or outsized screen-prints. Combine them with
stripes and you’ll get the perfect modern style. Saturated reds,
whites and indigo blues will add panache and complement those
graphic elements. As for silhouettes, Cropped relaxed pants are
still good for summer wear. A long tunic over skinny pants or
jeans or leggings. Long tunics can easily compliment slouchy
trousers.
What are some ways to dress up and stay cool in office?
Dressing
up during the summer can be a sticky situation — while there
are many options that will keep you cool in casual look.
In corporate world, stay sophisticated;
choose sculpted, uncomplicated shapes that have their foundation
in clean lines. A modern chambray
shirt with a minimalist details
makes a formal statement without overdoing it. Combine the shirt
with a satin lycra trouser (perfect
for more formal events) to finish
the ensemble. Wear it in combination, which will reflect the
dressy statement, and keep the look ultra-modern
and fresh.
Are there any rules to wearing head-to-toe denim?
Wearing head-to-toe
denim can be a tricky thing, and
because it doesn’t often appear in ready ensembles, finding
a color match
can be a shady issue. While these
rules are not steadfast, they should
be considered when you want to go all-blue:
- When it comes to color and treatment,
make sure that the pieces
are of a relatively similar shade
and style.
- Underpinnings, like a chambray shirt, work best in a different
wash, for contrast.
- A balanced proportion is
important in an all-denim
outfit: do not overwhelm the
silhouette with an overly easy fit; keep
your denim soft and flowing or
fitted and chic.
Is denim still important?
Absolutely—denim
is here to stay. But it’s time to welcome in new washes, fits
and styles to keep your denim wardrobe fresh.
Classic jean silhouettes are still
available in spades—but played up with a bootcut hem and slightly
lower rise, they’re immediately
transformed. Washes play a major
role, counting ultra-faded, indigo and deeply overdyed black
among the new favorites. Denim’s
even found a softer side with chambray
shirts and patchwork tees. Look forward to a mix of timeless
and modern in the new season.
Are polos too casual to wear to the office?
The polo is the kind
of shirt that will take you almost anywhere. While it goes perfectly
with jeans or a long flowing skirt for
the weekend, it’s also a fashionable
alternative to the traditional button-down for work. Try wearing
a bright skinny polo with a
navy or black suit, or a classic
white polo under a blazer, which always looks crisp and current.
Our modern fitting polos are knitted from mercerized cotton
yarns & cotton mesh pique which gives them an exceptionally
smooth and lustrous hand.
